tark-e-vafā kī baat kaheñ kyā

dil bechāra sīdhā saadā

chalte rahiye manzil manzil
is āñchal ke saa.e saa.e
duur nahīñ thā shahr-e-tamannā
aap hī mere saath na aa.e
aaj kā din bhī yaad rahegā
aaj vo mujh ko yaad na aa.e
