tasavvur se tere jo ābād hogī
to phir dil kī duniyā na barbād hogī
chhalak jā.eñge ḳhud hī shabnam ke aañsū
laboñ pe jo bulbul ke fariyād hogī
mire ba.ad bhī chain pā na sakoge
tumheñ merī har ik adā yaad hogī
zarā soch le ai miTā dene vaale
mire ba.ad phir kis pe bedād hogī
tasawwur se tere jo aabaad hogi
to phir dil ki duniya na barbaad hogi
chhalak jaenge KHud hi shabnam ke aansu
labon pe jo bulbul ke fariyaad hogi
mere baad bhi chain pa na sakoge
tumhein meri har ek ada yaad hogi
zara soch le ai miTa dene wale
mere baad phir kis pe bedad hogi
