chalte chalte mile kitne dasht-e-junūñ
giit ulfat ke ham to sunāte rahe
ḳhud to jehd-o-amal se gurezāñ rahe
naqsh-e-qismat magar vo batāte rahe
yuuñ to tārīk thī apnī rāh-e-safar
ḳhūn-e-dil se diye ham jalāte rahe
regzāroñ meñ husn-e-vafā kā sila
yaar yāroñ se nazreñ churāte rahe

git ulfat ke hum to sunate rahe
KHud to jehd-o-amal se gurezan rahe

KHun-e-dil se diye hum jalate rahe
regzaron mein husn-e-wafa ka sila
yar yaron se nazren churaate rahe
