zindagī shak se dekhtī hai mujhe
ho gayā huuñ maiñ sub.h sā raushan
shab se itnī du'ā milī hai mujhe
ab ḳhudārā tū khol de āñkheñ
apnī tasvīr dekhnī hai mujhe
aur 'ādat ye kuchh burī to nahīñ
terī 'ādat sī ho ga.ī hai mujhe
ḳhushbuoñ meñ rachī-basī laḌkī
roz ik phuul bhejtī hai mujhe
'umr kis ki ye lag gai hai mujhe
zindagi shak se dekhti hai mujhe
ho gaya hun main subh sa raushan
shab se itni du'a mili hai mujhe
ab KHudara tu khol de aankhen
apni taswir dekhni hai mujhe
aur 'adat ye kuchh buri to nahin
teri 'adat si ho gai hai mujhe
KHushbuon mein rachi-basi laDki
roz ek phul bhejti hai mujhe
