unki KHushi yahi hai to achchha yunhi sahi
un kī ḳhushī yahī hai to achchhā yūñhī sahī
ulfat kā naam aaj se dīvāngī sahī
har-chand nā-murād huuñ phir bhī huuñ kāmyāb
koshish to kī hai koshish-e-barbād hī sahī
ġhunchoñ ke dil se pūchhiye lutf-e-shaguftagī
bād-e-sabā pe tohmat-e-āvārgī sahī
jab chhiḌ ga.ī hai kākul-e-sab-rañg kī ġhazal
aise meñ ik qasīda-e-ruḳhsār bhī sahī
'māhir' se ijtināb na farmā.eñ ahl-e-dil
achchhoñ ke saath ek gunahgār bhī sahī
un ki KHushi yahi hai to achchha yunhi sahi
ulfat ka nam aaj se diwangi sahi
har-chand na-murad hun phir bhi hun kaamyab
koshish to ki hai koshish-e-barbaad hi sahi
ghunchon ke dil se puchhiye lutf-e-shaguftagi
baad-e-saba pe tohmat-e-awargi sahi
jab chhiD gai hai kakul-e-sab-rang ki ghazal
aise mein ek qasida-e-ruKHsar bhi sahi
'mahir' se ijtinab na farmaen ahl-e-dil
achchhon ke sath ek gunahgar bhi sahi
