kaun sā vaañ se ḳhāksār uThā
andalībo basā lo ab sahrā
baaġh se mausam-e-bahār uThā
hichkiyāñ le gulābiyāñ ro.eñ
bazm se jab ye mai-gusār uThā
azm ruḳhsat huā jab hī us kā
mere dil se vahīñ qarār uThā
nahīñ jo qadr-e-ashk aalam se
motiyoñ kā magar vaqār uThā
sham.a se soz 'amānī' pūchhā tirā
ik dhuāñ us ke dil se yaar uThā
us ke kuche sati ghubar uTha
kaun sa wan se KHaksar uTha
andalibo basa lo ab sahra
bagh se mausam-e-bahaar uTha
hichkiyan le gulabiyan roen
bazm se jab ye mai-gusar uTha
azm ruKHsat hua jab hi us ka
mere dil se wahin qarar uTha
nahin jo qadr-e-ashk aalam se
motiyon ka magar waqar uTha
shama se soz 'amani' puchha tera
ek dhuan us ke dil se yar uTha
