baat peshānī pe likkhī huī pesh aa.ī bhī
dil to pahle hī thā mahsūr-e-ġham-e-tanhā.ī
us pe dharnā diye baiThī hai ye purvā.ī bhī
jis taraf ruḳh ho havā kā ye barastī hai vahīñ
abr kī tarh se hotī hai shanāsā.ī bhī
dil ko rahtī bhī hai ab mahfil-e-yārāñ kī talāsh
aur tabī.at hai ki us bazm meñ ghabrā.ī bhī
