یہ کھیت سبزہ شجر رہ گزار سناٹا
اگا ہے دور تلک بے شمار سناٹا
ہمارے خواب کوئی اور دیکھ لیتا ہے
ہماری آنکھ خلا انتظار سناٹا
وہ کشتۂ رہ صوت و صدا ہوا شاید
وہ ایک لفظ تھا جس کا حصار سناٹا
ہے لفظ لفظ میں بجھتے مکالموں کا دھواں
سکوت عشق ہے یا بے قرار سناٹا
کبھی تو چھیڑ کوئی ساز کوئی نغمۂ جاں
کبھی تو اپنے بدن سے اتار سناٹا
