ek pul banaya ja raha hai
maiñ un se pūchhtā huuñ
pul kaise banāyā jaatā hai
pul banāne vaale kahte haiñ
tum ne kabhī mohabbat nahīñ kī
maiñ kahtā huuñ mohabbat kyā chiiz hai
vo apne auzār rakhte hue kahte haiñ
mohabbat kā matlab jānñā chāhte ho
to pahle dariyā se milo
rū-e-zamīn par dariyā se ziyāda mohabbat karne vaalā koī nahīñ
dariyā apne samundar kī taraf bahtā rahtā hai
ye supurdagī hai
supurdagī bachpan hai aur bachpan bahisht
lekin bahisht tak pahuñchne ke liye ek jahannam se guzarnā paḌtā hai
maiñ pūchhtā huuñ jahannam kyā hai
vo kahte haiñ is savāl kā javāb daraḳhtoñ ke paas hai
koī bhī mausam ho vo apnī jagah nahīñ chhoḌte
unheñ miTTī se mohabbat hai
unheñ parindoñ aur chyūñTiyoñ se mohabbat hai
jo un ke jism meñ ghar banātī haiñ
ghar kyā hai maiñ pūchhtā huuñ
vo sab hañsne lagte haiñ
pahlā mazdūr kahtā hai
apnī 'aurat kī taraf jaao
har savāl kā javāb mil jā.egā
main un se puchhta hun
pul kaise banaya jata hai
pul banane wale kahte hain
tum ne kabhi mohabbat nahin ki
main kahta hun mohabbat kya chiz hai

unhen parindon aur chyunTiyon se mohabbat hai
jo un ke jism mein ghar banati hain
ghar kya hai main puchhta hun
wo sab hansne lagte hain
pahla mazdur kahta hai
apni 'aurat ki taraf jao
har sawal ka jawab mil jaega
