bahut samay kī baat hai bhayyā
nannhī sī thī ek chirayyā
idhar-udhar uḌtī rahtī thī
use sabhī kahte gaurayyā
thī vo behad bholī-bhālī
jaise allah miyāñ kī gayyā
khoje har dam daanā dunkā
chhīne bachchoñ se vo layyā
kachchī chhat meñ chhappar nīche
kaaTe apnī jīvan nayyā
bachche us ke londe būñde
maañs ke TukḌe jaise bhayyā
