uthle paanī meñ guhar mat DhūñDo
rā.egāñ jā.egī mehnat saarī
uthle paanī kī taraf mat dekho
sang-rezoñ ke sivā kyā hogā
yuuñ khaḌe duur se kyā takte ho
bahr kī tah meñ nihāñ haiñ motī
durr-e-maqsūd haiñ gahrā.ī meñ
ho jo ġhavvās to tah tak pahuñcho
yā to ġharqāb hī ho jāoge
varna le aaoge chun kar motī
uthle pani mein guhar mat DhunDo
raegan jaegi mehnat sari
uthle pani ki taraf mat dekho
sang-rezon ke siwa kya hoga
yun khaDe dur se kya takte ho
bahr ki tah mein nihan hain moti
durr-e-maqsud hain gahrai mein
ho jo ghawwas to tah tak pahuncho
ya to gharqab hi ho jaoge
warna le aaoge chun kar moti
