na jaane us ke 'uryāñ ābnūsī jism
umḌī chhātiyoñ meñ
dhund aur asrār se pur ghāTiyoñ meñ
aisā kyā thā
ki vo pahlū meñ aayā aur apne saath sāmān-e-fanā laayā
idhar mujh tak yakāyak
mujh se lā-parvāh
merī zindagī
masrūr-o-shādāñ is tarah aa.ī
ki mujh ko be-mahābā maut yaad aa.ī
