This poem is for Abdul Sattar Edhi who was a well known social worker of Pakistan. In many cities of Pakistan and the world, his ambulance service was always ready for the wounded and the dead. Besides, he has rendered selfless service to the poor and widows. His organization also played a significant role in the recovery of missing and lost girls. He passed away on the 9th of 2016. According to his will, both his eyes have also been donated.
tum ko nobel kī zarūrat hī nahīñ hai baabā
koī e.azāz koī taḳht koī tāj-e-shahī
koī tamġha nahīñ duniyā meñ tumhāre qad kā
tum ne is mulk ke logoñ pe hukūmat kī hai
tum ne ḳhidmat nahīñ kī tum ne ibādat kī hai
koī masnad bhī tumhāre liye tayyār nahīñ
tum kisī aur satā.ish ke bhī haqdār nahīñ
lekin aatī hai kahīñ se ye sadā-e-bar-haq
jhilmilātī huī āñkhoñ kī namī meñ tum ho
sab ke dukh-dard ke sāthī ho ġhamī meñ tum ho
sab kī ḳhushiyoñ meñ ho maujūd dukhoñ meñ tum ho
sab kī sāñsoñ meñ mahakte ho diloñ meñ tum ho
isī ḳhidmat meñ hai poshīda tumhārā nobel
tum yahāñ ḳhāk-nashīnoñ ke numā.inda ho
sirf bevāoñ yatīmoñ ke liye kaam karo
tum to bas lāsheñ uThāne ke liye zinda ho
tum ko nobel ki zarurat hi nahin hai baba
koi eazaz koi taKHt koi taj-e-shahi
koi tamgha nahin duniya mein tumhaare qad ka
tum ne is mulk ke logon pe hukumat ki hai
tum ne KHidmat nahin ki tum ne ibaadat ki hai

sirf bewaon yatimon ke liye kaam karo
