hichkiyāñ aatī haiñ dil Duub rahā hai shāyad
aaj bhūle se tumheñ yaad mirī aa.ī hai
yaad hai tum ne ik amrūd jo kachchā thā abhī
naam se mere chunā thā jis par
apne hāthoñ se siyah kapḌā bhī bāñdhā thā magar
jis kī lagnī thī nazar lag ke rahī
kyā usī peḌ ke nīche ho zarā socho to
be-samar shāḳh lachaktī hai to kyā hotā hai
hichkiyan aati hain dil Dub raha hai shayad
aaj bhule se tumhein yaad meri aai hai

apne hathon se siyah kapDa bhi bandha tha magar
jis ki lagni thi nazar lag ke rahi
