ye aur baat hai ki madawa-e-gham na tha

jab se hai wo raunaq-e-mahfil aankhon mein

kuchh bhi ho mera haal numayan to nahin hai

kuchh naqsh teri yaad ke baqi hain abhi tak

fitna-saman hi nahin fitna-e-saman nikle

lai na saba bu-e-chaman ab ke baras bhi

tera KHayal bhi hai waz-e-gham ka pas bhi hai

gham ka ye saliqa bhi rah gaya hai ab hum tak

mahrumi ke dukh aur tanhai ke ranj uThae

wahi yaksaniyat-e-sham-o-sahar hai ki jo thi

afsana-e-hayat-e-pareshan ke sath sath

fughan se tark-e-fughan tak hazar tishna-labi hai
