Fasih Rabbani was the disciple of the literary personalities like Muztar Akbarabadi and Rais Amrohvi. His original name was Shuaib Rabbani, but he used to write under the pen name, Shaheen Faseeh Rabbani. He was born on 14 November 1964 in Debe of district Jhelum. His elementary education was done in Jhelum and he completed his tenth from Government High School, Deba. He did his graduation and masters from Karachi University. He began to develop a liking for poetry in 1982. His collection of Punjabi Mahiyaat, Koi Khwab Hamar Ho, was published in 2004. A collection of his ghazals was published in 2006 under the title, Apne Pal Ki Taraf.
