Indu Mishra "Kiran" was born on December 30, 1970, in Mau, Uttar Pradesh. A postgraduate in Hindi Literature and a B.Ed. As a degree holder, she has a deep passion for literary pursuits, particularly in ghazal writing. Alongside ghazals, she also enjoys writing poems and short stories.
Her first solo ghazal collection was published in 2020, and another is forthcoming. Her writings have appeared in anthologies such as Kuch Shikshak Kavi (Parts 1 & 2), Panch Parnika, and Geet Kisne Gaya. Her poems have been published in the newspaper Bharat Doot, on the Hindi Pratilipi platform, and in the Sarvbhasha Trust magazine. She has also served as the editor of her school’s magazine.
She has participated in literary events, including Hasya Kavi Sammelans on Hindi Diwas and mushairas organized by the Food Corporation of India. Her contributions have been acknowledged with honors like the Navjagaran Publication Award, Sarvbhasha Trust Special Honor, Rashtra Nirmata Samman, and accolades from teachers’ associations.
