Profile of Masroor Ahmad Masroor

Pen Name : 'Masroor'

Real Name : Masroor Ahmad

A charming town in Hamirpur district of Uttar Pradesh state of India where the tide of Ndga flows peacefully with the flow of time. A personality is born there who left an unforgettable impression in the field of education and Urdu literature. Mention is being made here of Master Masroor Ahmed Sahib who was born on 1st June 1946 in Mohalla Chaudharane of Kasbah Maudaha in a middle-class family.

Master Masroor did his early education in Maudaha Primary School and Rahmania Inter College. For higher education he traveled to Tatnagar in Bihar province where his father Hon'ble Mr. Mahmood Ahmed Sahib held a suitable position in Tata Steel Plant where Masroor Sahib passed his high school and intermediate examinations.

Staying there, he completed his graduation in Urdu literature from Ranchi University. After that he came to his home state of Uttar Pradesh and completed his MA and B.Ed in Urdu Literature from Kanpur University and in 1977 he was appointed as an Urdu teacher in Rahmania Inter College, Maudaha. All India continued to be invited to mushairas and continued to make people thirsty with their words. His poetry was regularly published in the literary magazine Mahnama "Twentieth Century" published from Delhi.

One of the aspects of his personality was that he, as an Urdu journalist, also became the victim of Covid-19 on April 21, 2021, in his Masroor Sahib in the daily Nama Sahitya, and was killed by his true creator. May Allah have mercy on Masroor. Amen

The departure of Masroor was a deep loss not only for his family, friends but also for the literary community. I felt the need to preserve his literary legacy after his death. Thus arose the idea of compiling and publishing his work, which has resulted in the cultivation of wounds. This collection is not just a tribute but the product of a life devoted to literature and education.
