be-kār hai ajdād kī daulat kā ġhurūr
ādāb nahīñ sīkhe to kyā lutf-o-surūr
sohbat se buzurgoñ kī ye miltā hai faqat
mīrās nahīñ sab kī miyāñ husn-e-shu’ūr
be-kar hai ajdad ki daulat ka ghurur
aadab nahin sikhe to kya lutf-o-surur
sohbat se buzurgon ki ye milta hai faqat
miras nahin sab ki miyan husn-e-shu’ur
