vo gesū fitna-e-jāñ hoñ to dil ābād kyā hogā
ġham-e-hijrāñ kā ye 'ālam to koī shaad kyā hogā
jo nālāñ hai mirī jaañ dil kī vīrānī pe hone do
kisī be-ḳhānumāñ ke lab pe juz fariyād kyā hogā
na jaane kaise kaise dāstān-e-dard dohrā.ī
magar is dard se nā-āshnā ko yaad kyā hogā
tumhārī yaad dil par laa.ī hai barbādiyāñ kyā kyā
jo sultāñ hī sitam Dhaa.e to mulk ābād kyā hogā
wo gesu fitna-e-jaan hon to dil aabaad kya hoga
gham-e-hijran ka ye 'alam to koi shad kya hoga
jo nalan hai meri jaan dil ki virani pe hone do
kisi be-KHanuman ke lab pe juz fariyaad kya hoga
na jaane kaise kaise dastan-e-dard dohrai
magar is dard se na-ashna ko yaad kya hoga
tumhaari yaad dil par lai hai barbaadiyan kya kya
jo sultan hi sitam Dhae to mulk aabaad kya hoga
