H لات लात lāt [S. लत्ता?], s.f. A kick:—lāt ćalānā (-par), or lāt mārnā or mār-denā (-ko, or -meṅ), To kick; to kick away in disdain, to spurn:—lāt khānā, v.n. To be kicked, to suffer a kicking:—lāt-mukkī karnā, v.t. To kick and cuff, to beat.

(=lathaṛ-pathaṛ, and laṭ-paṭ, q.v.):—lat paṛnā, or lat ho-jānā (-ko), To become a habit or vice;—lat-phal, s.m. The consequences of bad babits:—lat-zada, adj. Of bad habits, vicious:—lat karnā (-), To beat any viscous substance till the viscosity comes out; to take the viscosity out (of):—lat-ghat, s.f. Habits, nature, disposition, manners:—lat lagnā (-ko), To have (or, to acquire) a bad habit or vice.
