H يہان यहां yahāṅ, (dialec.) य्हां yhāṅ [(dialec.) ihāṅ; Ap. Prk. एहहं; S. ईदृशे;—or yah+ān = nāṅ = thān = Prk. थाणे or थाणि=S. स्थाने, loc. of स्थान], adv. In this place, here, hither; hereabout (yahāṅ is often incorrectly used as a postpn. in the sense of hāṅ (=S. sthāne), 'at the abode' (of, -ke, or -mere, &c.), at; Fr. chez; Lat. apud):—yahāṅ-par, adv. Here:—yahāṅ-tak or talak, or yahāṅ-lag, or yahāṅ-lo or loṅ, adv. As far as this, to this place, thus far;—to this degree or pitch; to such an extent, so much so (that), insomuch (that);—until;—up to this time, hitherto:—yahāṅ-se, adv. From here; hence:—yahāṅ-kā, adj. (f. -kī), Of or belonging to this place:—yahāṅ-kā-yahīṅ, adv. In this very place; exactly here:—yahāṅ-kahīṅ, adv. Hereabouts, somewhere here.

يہين यहीं yahīṅ, or यिहीं yěhīṅ contrac. of yahāṅ+hīṅ = hī, qq.v.
