P ابر abr, vulg. abar [Old P. awar, Pehl. abar, Zend awra, S. अभ्र], s.m. A cloud; the marks on the paper called abrī (q.v.).—abr-i-āẕur, s.m. A cloud without rain.—abr ćhānā, v.n. Clouds to overshadow; to be cloudy or overcast; to lower.—abr-i-ʻālamgīr, s.m. Rain clouds which cover a large extent of country.—abr-i-qibla, s.m. Clouds which come from the direction of the qibla; clouds heavily charged with rain.—abr khulnā, v.n. Clouds to disperse; (the sky) to be clear.—abr-i-murda, s.m. A sponge.
