(of عزّ), He (or it) was mighty, or glorious; (optat.) may he be magnified or glorified:—ʻazza ʼsmu-hu (i.e. ʻazza ismu-hu), Glorious is His name:—ʻazza wa jalla, vulg. ʻazza wa jall, adj. To Him (or to Whom) belong might and majesty, or glory and greatness; the mighty and glorious.
