P شور shor [rt. Zend khshar = S. क्षर्], s.m. Cry, noise, outcry, exclamation, din, clamour, uproar, tumult, disturbance; renown;—adj. Disturbed (in mind), mad (=shorīda);—salt, brackish (cf. S. kshāra); very bitter;—unlucky:—shor-angez, adj. Exciting tumults, raising disturbances:—shor-āwar, adj. Noisy, tumultuous; unfortunate, calamitous:—shor-baḵẖt, adj. Ill-fated, unfortunate, wretched; infamous:—shor-pusht (or shora-pusht), adj. Noisy, quarrelsome, encouraging disturbance, refractory, unruly:—shor-pushtī (or shora-pushtī), s.f. Turbulence, unruliness, refractoriness:—shor-ćashm, adj. Having an unlucky or malignant eye:—shor ḍālnā, v.n. To raise an outcry, &c.:—shor-zamīn, s.f.
