Companionship, society, company; an assembly, meeting, association; a fair; discourse, conversation, intercourse; carnal intercourse, coition, cohabitation:—ṣǒḥbat-bar-ār, s.m. 'One who carries on or promotes intercourse or companionship,' an acquaintance:—ṣǒḥbat-bar-ārī, s.f. Acquaintance:—ṣǒḥbat-dārī, s.f. Keeping company (with), associating; acquaintance;—sexual intercourse, coition:—ṣǒḥbat karnā (-se), To keep company (with); to cohabit (with):—ṣǒḥbat-yāfta, part. adj. Trained in, or used to, good society; well-bred:—ṣǒḥbateṅ uṭhānā, or ṣǒḥbateṅ baratnā, or ṣǒḥbateṅ dekhnā (-kī), To be brought up in good society; to be used to society.
