A طمع t̤amaʻ (inf. n. of طمع 'to covet,' &c.), s.f. Coveting; covetousness, vehement desire; greediness, greed, avarice; avidity; ambition;—a thing that is coveted, or desired vehemently; temptation, allurement, lure, bait:—t̤amaʻ-dihī, s.f.
