P عداوت ʻadāwat (v.n. fr. عدو 'to act corruptly'; 'to hate,' &c.), s.f. Enmity, hostility, resentment, hatred, hate, animosity, vindictiveness, malice:—ʻadāwat biʼl-qaṣd, s.f. Deliberate malice, malice prepense:—ʻadāwat rakhnā (-se), To bear enmity (to), to bear malice (towards):—ʻadāwat-se, adv. Through enmity; maliciously; feloniously:—ʻadāwat nikālnā (apnī), To gratify (one's) resentment or animosity, to avenge oneself.
