A عشق ʻishq (inf. n. of عشق 'to love passionately'), s.m. Love, excessive love, passion (for, -kā):—ʻishq-allāh, 'Love of God,' a form of salutation used (instead of salām) by faqīrs, and by wrestlers when they meet in the arena:—ʻishq-bāz, adj. & s.m.
