H مرا मरा marā [perf. part. of marnā, q.v.;—and=Prk. मलिदओ, or मलिअओ; S. मर्(मृ)+इत+कः], part. (f. -ī), Dead; dried up, withered; half-dead-and-alive; poor, wretched, miserable, &c.;—s.m. A corpse; carcass; a half-dead-and-alive person, a miserable creature;—base metal:—marā marā ćalnā or jānā, v.n. To move or go along at a half-dead-and-alive pace, to creep along:—marā-huʼā, adj. (f. -ī) = marā:—marī jūṅ, lit. 'A dead louse'; a miserably distressed, or wretchedly poor person;—a very slow person.
