Affectionate, kind, gracious, compassionate, sympathetic, tender; true; dear (i.q. shafīq);—a sincere, or true, or dear friend:—mushfiq-ě-man, or mushfiq-ě-banda, My dear friend:—mushfiq-mihrbān, Affectionate and kind friend; 'Dear Sir.'
