H پہر पहर pahar, pahr [Prk. पहरो S. प्रहरः], s.m. A division of time consisting of eight ghaṛīs or three hours, an eighth part of a day, a watch:—pahar-din, s.m. A watch of the day, a day's watch; the first watch of the day (from 6 to 9 A.M.): pahar-rāt, s.m. A watch of the night; the first watch of the night (from 6 to 9 P.M.).
