H پہرا पहरा pahrā [S. प्रहर+कः], s.m. A turn of watch; a charge;—a watch, watchman, sentinel; a guard, a corporal and six;—turn, time, period:—pahrā badalnā, v.n. To change the guard, to relieve the watch or guard:—pahrā biṭhānā or baiṭhānā (-par), To place a guard (over or at):—pahre-dār, s.m.=pahre-wālā, q.v.:—pahrā denā, v.n. To keep watch, to mount guard:—pahre-meṅ biṭhānā, v.t. To give in charge to a watch or the guard; to place in custody:—pahre-meṅ paṛnā, v.n.
