H جس जिस jis, Old H. जस jas [S. यस्य, gen. of यः, base यद्; Prk. जस्स, with the fem. form ji instead of ja, for the base]; the formative, or inflective base of the oblique cases, of the sing. of jo 'who,' &c.:—jis-par, adv. Upon which, whereupon:—jis-par bhī, adv. Upon which even, notwithstanding which:—jis-tis, pron. Whomever; that which; whatever; some one or other:—jis-jānib, adv.=jis-t̤araf, q.v.:—jis-jis, pron.
