Putting off, postponement:—dafʻ karnā, v.t. To push or thrust away or off, to dispel, remove, repel, avert, ward off, parry; to guard (oneself, against, -se):—dafʻ honā, v.n. To be beaten off, be repelled, &c.; to be turned back; to return.
