A عشق ʻishq (inf. n. of عشق 'to love passionately'), s.m. Love, excessive love, passion (for, -kā):—ʻishq-allāh, 'Love of God,' a form of salutation used (instead of salām) by faqīrs, and by wrestlers when they meet in the arena:—ʻishq-bāz, adj. & s.m. Amorous;—a gallant; a rake:—ʻishq-bāzī, s.f. Amorous toying, love-making, gallantry, amour:—ʻishq-pećā, s.m. A species of ivy that bears red flowers;—American jasmine, Ipomæa quamoclit, or Q. vulgaris:—ʻishq-pesha, adj. & s.m. Amorous;—one practised in love, a lover:—ʻishq hai, An exclamation of praise; excellent! well done! bravo!

Pleasure, delight, gratification:—shauq-se, adv. With alacrity, &c., with pleasure, gladly, cheerfully; at pleasure, according to (one's) wish or desire.
