A خال ḵẖāl (fr. خول or خيل), s.m. Maternal uncle, mother's brother;—a black mole on the face (regarded as ornamental); a spot, patch (natural); an artificial spot (made of kājal, &c., for ornament, or to ward off the effects of the malignant eye):—ḵẖāl-ḵẖāl, adj. & adv. Thick, close, thickly spread;—little, scarce, rare;—very few, few and far between, here and there; rarely.
