A کف kaff, vulg. kaf, s.f. The hand; palm (of the hand); sole (of the foot); a handful:—kaf-ě-afsos malnā, To wring the hands with regret:—kaf-ě-pā, s.f. The sole of the foot:—kaf-ě-pāʼī, s.f. Bastinade;—slippers:—kaf-ě-dast, s.f. Palm of the hand;—(met.) adj. Level and desert, bleak, barren (a plain, e.g. kaf-ě-dast maidān).
