A knot, tie, bond (=ʻaqd); a knob; a joint; a node; an excrescence; a gland; an impediment (in speech); an entanglement, a complication; entangled things, perplexed affairs, confused words; a knotty problem; a secret, mystery, enigma:—ʻuqda-kushā, s.m. 'An opener of knots,' one who solves difficulties, &c.:—ʻuqda-kushāʼī, s.f. The opening or untying of knots, the solving of difficulties.
