Having a fixed abode, well-to-do (as a courtezan, &c.):—ḍerā ḍālnā, To pitch a tent; to encamp; to take up (one's) abode; to tarry, linger, loiter, delay:—ḍerā khaṛā karnā, To erect or pitch a tent; to encamp:—ḍerā khaṛā honā, v.n. Tent to be pitched;—to be encamped:—ḍere-wāl, adj.=ḍere-dār, q.v.
