Desire, yearning, deep longing, predilection (for, -kā), inclination, affection, love; fancy (for), pleasure (in); taste; ardour, zeal, eagerness, avidity; alacrity, gaiety, cheerfulness; curiosity:—shauq-ẕauq, s.m. Pleasure, delight, gratification:—shauq-se, adv. With alacrity, &c., with pleasure, gladly, cheerfully; at pleasure, according to (one's) wish or desire.
