H اڙي अड़ी aṛī (see aṛā, part. adj.), s.f. Difficulty, hardship, trouble; need, poverty, distress, adversity, misfortune; exigency, critical situation:—aṛī-bhirī, s.f.=aṛī:—aṛī-dhaṛī, s.f. Difficulties, troubles, cares, concerns, responsibilities; whatever betides; misfortunes, afflictions.

H ايڙي एड़ी eṛī [eṛ, q.v.+S. इका], s.f. Heel:—eṛī dekh or dekho, lit. 'Look at (your, -apnī) heels'; look at home (a phrase used by Mohammadan women to obviate the effect of evil eye):—eṛiyāṅ ragaṛnā, eṛiyāṅ ghisnā, To drag the heels in walking; to rub the heels (against the bed in dying); to be in straitened circumstances, to be in distress, or in agony.
