Insufficiency or want of means; no assets; insolvency; impecuniosity; inability to pay; lack of power; disability, &c.:—ʻadam-iqrār, s.m. Non-existence of a promise; non assumpsit:—ʻadam-indirāj, s.m. Non-entry (in most of the numerous compounds of this description ʻadam may generally be rendered by non-, or 'want of,' or 'absence of,' &c.):—kaʼl-ʻadam, adj. lit. 'Like the non-existence'; non-existent; null and void:—kaʼl-ʻadam jānnā (-ko), To regard as non-existent; to treat as null and void; to set at nought:—kaʼl-ʻadam karnā, v.t. To make null and void, to annul, rescind, &c.:—kaʼl-ʻadam honā or ho-jānā, v.n. To become extinct; to come to nought; to come to an end; to be rescinded, &c.
