احوال aḥwāl

A احوال aḥwāl, s.m. (pl. of حال ḥāl, but used as a sing.), State, condition; case; circumstances; state of affairs; affairs; events, occurrences; account:—aḥwāl batānā, or lānā, aḥwāl sunānā, and aḥwāl kahnā (-kā, or apnā), To state (one's) case, condition, &c.; to give an account (of), tell the story (of), narrate the circumstances (of), &c:—aḥwāl-pursī (also -purs, or -pursān), s.f. Inquiry after (one's) health, or affairs, or condition, &c.:—aḥwāl-pūćhnā (-kā), To inquire after (one's) health, circumstances, &c.; to institute inquiry (into); to investigate.
