A عجيب ʻajīb (v.n. fr. عجب 'to wonder'; see ʻajab), adj. Inducing wonder or admiration, wonderful, surprising, astonishing, marvellous, admirable, strange, extraordinary, rare, unique.

A عذاب ʻaẕāb (v.n. عذب 'to prevent; to deter'), s.m. Punishment, chastisement; pain, torture, torment; martyrdom (met.) difficulty, painful or troublesome affair or event, distressing affair:—ʻaẕāb mol-lenā, v.n.
