A عکس ʻaks (inf. n. of عکس 'to reverse,' &c.), s.m. The reverse (of), the converse, or the contrary (of); counterpart; inversion; reflection (syn. parćhāʼīṅ), a shadow, a reflected image (as in a mirror, or water, &c.);—opposition; spite:—ʻaks utārnā, or ʻaks khaiṅćnā (-kā), To take the reflected image (of), to take a silhouette, or a photograph, &c.:—bar ʻaks (-ke), On the reverse (of); contrary (to), in opposition (to);—bar ʻaks is-ke, On the reverse (or the back) of this;—on the contrary.
