H اولا ओला olā, s.m. Screen, &c.=oṭ, oṭal, q.q.v.; secrecy, sec. et:—olā karnā, v.t. To screen, hide, conceal.

اولا ओला olā

H اولا ओला olā [S. उपलकः], s.m. Hailstone, hail; refined sugar made up into balls;—adj. Cold (as hail):—olā ho-jānā or ho-rahnā, v.n. To be or become cold:—ole paṛnā, v.n. To hail; to be overtaken by misfortune (joṅ sir munḍāyā toṅ ole paṛe, 'I had no sooner shaved my head than hail fell,'—i.e. Misfortune overtook my first venture).

آلو ālū

P آلو ālū [=S. आलु], s.m. Plum, prune:—(in Urdū the word generally occurs in comp. e.g.) ālū-buḵẖārā, s.m. Buḵẖārā or Persian plum; dried plum; prune; damson:—shaft-ālū, s.m. A peach, lit. 'the rough plum.'
