P بوزه būza, boza, s.m. Liquor made from rice, barley, or millet; beer:—boza-ḵẖāna, s.m. Beer-shop; boozing ken:—boza-gar, s.m. Maker of, or dealer, in the liquor called boza:—boza-garī, s.f. Brewing of boza.

P بازو बाज़ू bāzū, vulg. bājū [Pehl. bājāi; Zend, bāzu, S. बाहु], Arm, upper arm; shoulder; wing (of a bird, &c.); flank (of an army, &c.); side frame of a door, door-post; fold of a door; side of a bedstead; (fig.) supporter, second, companion, friend, brother; an armlet (=bāzū-band, q.v.); one who repeats the chorus of the mars̤iya or elegy on Hasan and Husain; accompanier or second in a song:—bāzū-band, s.m. Ornament worn on the arm, armlet; bracelet:—bāzū denā (-ko), To lend a helping hand, to help, support, aid (=bāṅh denā).

P بجا ba-jā, adj. In place; proper, suitable, fit, becoming; right, just, true;—adv. Fitly, properly, rightly, as it should be all right; just so, precisely; (ironically) just so, very true, very like a whale;—ba-jāʼe, prep. In

place (of, -ke), in lieu of, instead of:—ba-jā-āwarī, s.f. Performance, accomplishment, fulfilment, execution, discharge:—ba-jā lānā, v.t. To perform, accomplish, fulfil, execute, discharge, carry out (an order, &c.), give effect to; to comply with, obey (=bajānā).
