H بال बाल bāl [S. बाला, rt. बल; cf. next], s.f. Female child, girl, &c. (see bālā);—ear or spike of corn:—bāl-rakhā, s.m. A person employed to watch ripe crops; the platform on which such a watchman sits;—(also=) bāl-rakhāʼī, s.f. Price paid for watching of ripe crops.
