H بهاڙ भाड़ bhāṛ [S. भाट], s.m. Wages of prostitution; price of fornication:—bhāṛ khānā, v.n. To live on the wages of prostitution (not the woman, but her dependants);—s.m. A pimp, &c. (=bhaṛuʼā, q.v.).

H بهاڙ भाड़ bhāṛ [S. भ्राष्द्र], s.m. Oven, furnace, kiln, fire-place for parching grain:—bhāṛ-jhoknā, v.n. To light or heat the oven; to make a fire of sticks, leaves, &c. for parching grain, &c.; to put fuel on the fire, feed the fire; (fig.) to take up a mean occupation:—bhāṛ-meṅ jhoknā, bhāṛ-meṅ ḍālnā, v.t. To throw into the fire; to fling away, cast to the dogs.

Sound of crackling fuel, crackle; crash; roll (of musketry); rat-tat; rush, whir; sound of breaking wind;—bhaṛ-bhaṛ, s.m.=bhaṛ (and is the more common form); adv. With a crash, or gush or rush, &c.:—bhaṛ-bhaṛ karnā, v.n. To burn fiercely; to roar, crackle, crack, crash, &c.
